Zoos that are still in existence help to maintain the population of animals in captivity, so they do not go extinct. One afternoon, when an impromptu photo session started taking place with one of the zoo’s peacocks, the unexpected happened. People were trying to pick the bird up to get a photo, but the sensitive nature of the bird caused it to go into shock, resulting in the bird’s death.
This isn’t the first case of this happening, but we hope that people have learned from this and will refrain from doing so in the future.
