For far too long time now, cases of animal cruelty have run rampant. It is a struggle to get the justice that these animals deserve. The difficulty keeping track is because the victims of these crimes are entirely voiceless. However, there is a new development that could have many pet owners and animal lovers jumping for joy.
The FBI has started tracking cases of animal cruelty so these horrible people can be stopped and no more animals will come to harm. Animal cruelty cases will now be given their category and treated as a Class A felony. Now, tougher sentences will be applied to these criminals and sway others from wanting to engage in such behavior.
The hope is that in time, the rates of these horrific crimes will drop and lead to the saving of more animal lives.
