Going to the hospital is not a pleasant experience or anyone, let alone animals. When these two pups arrived at the hospital around the same time, something magical happened.
Olaf, a large dog, was bitten by a snake and was surrendered to a shelter because they were unable to care for him or pay his medical costs.
Mariah was brought to the shelter at the same time when she was found abandoned in a parking lot on Christmas Eve at only six weeks old. She was slowly freezing to death.
She was rescued by a kind-hearted soul, but she was struggling to maintain a constant body temperature, and it didn’t look like she would make it.
That’s when the shelter decided to pair them up together. Olaf needed a buddy to recover with, and Mariah needed a source of constant body heat. With Olaf’s large size, she got plenty of that and more.
Today they are best buddies who care for each other and play together, keeping the other’s hopes up while they recover.
Hopefully, they find a forever home together from the Second Chance Rescue so that they won’t have to be separated for the rest of their lives.
