Owners have dropped their dogs off at shelters for a variety of reasons, including moving, allergies, or the pet just wasn’t working out for their living arrangements. The reason Nik Nak was dropped off is just plain awful. He was abandoned at a shelter, simply because he was “too yucky.”
The owners suggested that the dog is put. What horrible people! Thankfully, this canine is now getting some real love. Nik Nak had his very first bath and treated his skin so that he would have fewer scabs on his face.
With a foster mom who loved him very much, Nik Nak got better each day as his fur started to come back in, and soon found a forever home with his foster mama.
