Duck Is Sitting In The Car Waiting For Someone Special And Has The Sweetest Reaction Once He Sees Them…

Baby birds (like turkeys, ducks, and geese) imprint on the first large, moving object they see.  That ‘object’ is usually the mother. Their nest mates are moving, but not big enough for imprinting to occur.

The duck followed the tractor around, and when he was older, did some courtship displays in front of it! Imprinting is a strong bond. In this video, we see Nibbles, the Rouen, greet Johnny after school. Nibbles’ mom had died before he had hatched so Nibbles imprinted on Johnny! You can see Nibbles’ head searching and searching once the bus arrives and he squawks for joy when he sees Johnny!
