What Reddit user, Kelsey_Ann thought was a trip to the theater, turned into a rescue mission when she stumbled across a tiny orange tabby kitten.
The tiny ginger kitten was alone in the alleyway behind the venue. He was frozen in fear when he saw Kelsey.
“It was a pretty pathetic sight when we found him. He was literally hugged as close as he could to a corner wall…My mom said she thinks he was trying to make himself as invisible as possible.”
Kelsey rescued the kitten and he spent the entire car ride hiding inside her jacket.
Kelsey named the kitten Atlas and he began snuggling up to his rescuer and initiating play with the family dog.
Kelsey placed Atlas in a kennel the first night but woke to hear him crying. She felt bad and brought him back to bed with her, and that’s where Atlas has slept ever since!
He loves to snuggle and purrs at bedtime.
Atlas also adores his new Pomeranian sibling.
Kelsey took him to the vet, and luckily Atlas turned out to be a healthy boy.
She says of the rescue: “Crazy what some love, food, and toys will do!”
