Mikhail was rescued from a puppy mill. The conditions were disgusting; dirty floors littered with feces and unruly fur, surrounded by hundreds of other dogs; all kept fenced in, whining and yelping. Luckily, the Humane Society rescued Mikhail along with 120 dogs and 60 other animals from their hazardous conditions.
Melita Yearwood made a phone call when she heard about the conditions the animals were living in. She insisted on meeting a particular dog that caught her heart: Mikhail, and took a trip to visit him. She eventually adopted him and got him a haircut and treatment. She brought him home to live with her other dog, Destiny.
