When the program began, at first, taking abandoned, stray dogs and putting them into jail cells with criminals did not really seem like the best idea. The animals themselves been through some pretty rough times. Putting them in a cell with humans who’ve been through their own version of hell gave them a much-needed connection.
The video below is the story of humans that have been rejected by society but found friends who will not judge them and know exactly what it feels like to be mistreated and hurt.
If it were not for these inmates taking them in, most of these dogs would have been euthanized.
It is a wonderful program for all involved!
