This Soldier And His Dog Were Injured By Bomb Are Treated Side By Side

Army Spc. Andrew Brown and his loyal canine Rocky were injured during one of their operations in Afghanistan.  A Improvised Explosive Device (IED) exploded hurting Brown and Rocky while they were searching for a structure in support of ongoing operations.

Rocky and Brown are being treated side by side in the same room at the Walter Reed Hospital in Washington, D.C.


The photo above was posted on the 89th Military Police Brigade’s Facebook page yesterday, now it has 5 thousand likes and has been shared more than 2000 times.


Rocky was pinned with the Purple Heart!  The Purple Heart is given to those who are wounded or killed in service and is one of the highest honors one can receive.

Amazingly this photo has received more than 89 thousand likes and 118,000 shares.

Thankfully this brave duo are recovery very well.
