Just recently, the floods that swept through Texas left lives turned upside down. Homes were swept away, along with cars and entire neighborhoods. Even though people were faced with the threat of losing everything they had, the people of Texas have banded together to not only help each other but also help the animals that were affected by the storm as well.
Austin Pets Alive!, one of the best shelters in Austin, was facing flooding and sent out a desperate message on Facebook. The response was so overwhelming that there was a line of people stretched out the door and into the parking lot.
