Dog Shaped Bed And Breakfast Is A Perfect Getaway For The Weekend With Your Pup

Usually, you get sent to the dog house if you have done something to tick off your spouse, but this dog house is very different. In Cottonwood, Idaho, Dennis J. Sullivan and Frances Conklin, created Dog Bark Park/Inn Bed & Breakfast, a giant Beagle-shaped house where you can vacation with your furry friend.

Yes, that is right, a Beagle-shaped house. This dog house is run by a husband and wife team, Dennis, a chainsaw artist for over 30 years, and Frances his wife who loves to carve. In 1995, the couple hit it big landing a spot on QVC and spent 18 months carving nothing but dog shaped wood carvings. They poured all their profits from the carvings into creating the Dog Bark Park.

Most of the creations that they work on now come from photos people send to them to capture the likeness of their beloved pets. Many of their other creations can also be found at the Chain Saw Art Gift Shop.

In 2003, the duo won the Take Pride in Idaho Cultural Tourism Award for a large creation of Seaman, the dog who was with the Lewis and Clark expedition over 200 years ago.

Bedroom

This oddly shaped house features 2 bedrooms and 1 bath, but you will have free reign over the entire dog house Even the outside comes with a giant sized fire hydrant to match this Beagle. This isn’t just about the exterior, though. They’ve also included doggy pillows and headboards, and stays even include an extensive continental breakfast.

One thing that you should know is that this unique house does not include a television or phone, but there are games and puzzles to keep your mind busy when you aren’t enjoying some quality time with your pet.
