Lisa Jones of Super Heros Animal Hydrocephalus Society rescued him from euthanization when no one wanted this 13 week old kitten.
He needed much attention and time and she was willing to give him, so Lisa got the little one on a plane from Texas to his new home in New York.
Zeke was born with a medical condition called Hydrocephalus, commonly known as water on the brain. The fluid in his head did not flow and collect beneath the skull so this put extreme pressure on his brain which caused skeletal disorders.
He continues to improved every day and is getting the love he desperately needed!
He is unable to climb, but he can roll and romps around with great spirits.
Zeke knows his name, comes when you call him and he possess great intelligence.
“Eventually we’ll get the whole puzzle put together so for now, one step at a time.” He has a lot of complicated medical issue and it just takes time to figure them all out~!
Despite Zeke all of his challenges, he’s still a kitten at heart and loves exploring, being silly and he’s even trying to climb. He learned he can climb the mesh laundry basket and the screen door and has managed to get all 4 feet off the floor but does not have the strength to climb yet.
He has a brother named “Super Hero” from another mom with hydrocephalus.
When Zeke is going somewhere he isn’t supposed to be, Hero herds him back into the room or redirects his attention by gently tapping him with his paw. His big brother keeps a watchful eye on this little guy.
It’s truly amazing what true love and dedication can do!
