Some people might think that shelter dogs are damaged and broken. Why get a dog if it comes with problems? And while it’s true that some may suffer from anxiety and abuse, we know that shelter dogs are actually just like any other pup: a source of love.
There are so many dogs out there who are ready for a new home. Maisy and Bear are two such pups. They were found on the street together and have grown up together in the shelter. Maisy was adopted three times, only to be returned because of an injury she has in her hind leg. Bear hasn’t ever been adopted despite his endearing nature.
Now they live in a foster home where they are being treated by a animal behavior specialist. He is helping them work through their anxieties, and within a small amount of time their personalities are starting to shine through!
The Pet Collective worked to get their story out in hopes that they be adopted together. You can help pups like Maisy and Bear find homes by considering saving a dog from a shelter.
